Confused about bongs

I'm still pretty unsure when it comes to smoking a bong. can someone explain to me the basic steps?

First assume the position, bong in hand, stem in the bong, packed bowl. I always light and work the carb/stem with my right hand, obviously this may vary from individual to individual. Do whatever is comfortable for you.

step one: apply flame to the bowl (note, it's always good karma to just light a side of the bowl, and leave some greens for the rest of the circle (assuming circle for this post) rather than lighting the whole damn thing.)

step two: mouth firmly to the pipe begin a nice pull that will fill the chamber of the bong (varies from bong to bong, (to bong to bong))

Step three: when the chamber is full of smoke and you're nearing the end of your inhalation, pull out the the stem and finish inhaling strongly to clear the chamber (another karma point, don't leave your leftover stale smoke in the chamber. always clear your plate)

Step four: pass the bong, exhale when appropriate...

Man, bongs are great. Just fill it up with some water, but not enough to flood the stem. Then pack the bowl on the end of the stem with your finest ganj. Rip that shit up, keep your finger on the carb hole though. Once your about 3/4 full of smoke let go of the carb and all the extra smoke goes whoosh! into your lungs. Hold in for 3-10 seconds. Oh, try putting a little listerine and ice in with your bong water, it will blow your mind.

Not sure, but I believe Listerine is going to add a little minty flavor and perhaps cool off your hits a little bit more.

it gets you FUCKED UP, and then when you burp or throw up it leaves a minty fresh taste in your mouth...yumm
