So I have these old wood blocks I used to play with as a kid and now my bro uses them.Well I wanna make a pipe out of one of the peices,,,is there any sort of wood that is bad for smoking out of as i'm not sure what type of wood the blocks are made of.
I dont think any wood is particularly unheathy to smoke out of. but if it is treated wood (and it definitly could be because it is used in kids toys) then it would be EXTREMELY bad. Most treating processes use an arsenic compound and you would be inhaling arsenic which is carcinogenic. I would just go buy some dowel (small round bits of wood) at a craft store and use that just to be safe.
are 2X4's treated?
probably if for construction cuz of arsenic to keep from rotting,
