Question about DXM and zoloft

I have been on zoloft 50mg for about 2 months and still take it every morning. I heard about doing DXM, but am worried about interactions. Will DXM react with the zoloft??

Does anyone know anything about the interaction of ssri's like zoloft and DXM???Please???

I think it would be fine to take DXM with zoloft. DXM only reacts with MAOIs and zoloft is an SSRI.

what about serotonin syndrome. I heard that dxm is a ssri too or somethin

Hello Bebacha- I myself take 50mg Zoloft along with 300mg of Wellbutrin. I have done DXM once on my anti-depressents (will do more hopefully this week), and i did 600mg out of nowhere, just decided to do 600mg one day. It was a great expereince with dissociations, but at times they got too real and I got Tachyaria (where ur heart constantly beats super fast) which scared the shit outta me, I saw myself in my blood arteries slamming into my heart lol. If it happens just calmly talk urself down out of it. I wouldn't do more than 700mg. Btw, I weigh 140lb. at the time.

Bupropion- Antidepressant; Nicotine Addiction Treatment; Stimulant.
Zoloft- Antidepressant; SSRI.
Neither of these are MAOI's and should not b taken with Zyban (quit smoking aid).

Thanks Canabliss. I'm still a bit skeptical though, after reading some reports about serotonin syndrome, plus the fact that I can't find any concrete information on the subject.

Idk, try 500mg and be confident, if it goes bad start puking and drinkin water, puke, drink and so on.... I haven't ever heard of serrotonin syndrom. care to explain?

i heard that serotonin syndrome is caused most commonly when there are two chemicals acting upon the serotin receptors in the brain or something. you freak out and can die??

try the dxm man...it is neat...

take about 400 your first time...and make sure to not be out in public when your coming up...then when you start to feel it kick in, take another 200...make sure to be doing it with someone, its always funner to be on dxm with others...

there is this symptom known as the robowalk...feels like your standing on a water bed and if your trippin hard enough, you wont be able to walk without holding onto something...and even then you might not...ive had experiences where id taken a bit much, and i was literally crawling from point A to point B...

very fun though, just dont take loads around people who shouldnt know your on it, even if your parents are asleep, still be cautious...ive seen people make more noise then one person should be able to make on dxm...
