Quick question: Are you honest...
Are you honest with your doctor about your drug use?
If you are do you downplay your drug use, or are you completely 100% real about it with him/her?
If you are completely 100% honest, how does your doc react to your honesty?
Thanks in advance for your replies. :)

Never been asked, never needed to!
I'd say they'd be cool with it, but probably advise you to quit for your own health, and then if you don't they will probably say "It's your choice anyway":D

I've told my doc I smoke a lot and I also asked him about my few encounters with DXM and whether or not I should be worried about my future health. He said it wasn't the smartest thing but I shouldn't worry about it because I didn't do it enough. Just ask him something like "everything we discuss is completely confidential right? are there any situations where you'd be required by law to break this confidentiality?" Thats exactly what I did and my doc said "Yes this is confidential and only if I think you may be suicidal."
I know therapists and psychiatrists are required to get medical help for clients who admit to hurthing themselves physically (drug use is not hurting yourself according to them) but that won't affect you. And if you're uber paranoid just tape record him saying everything is confidential and if you get arrested, bring that shit up in court and you'll be taken care of.

I don't have a Doctor, currently, but I went through a couple, one year. The second one kept trying medicines, until he found one I liked, and then added another, that I liked. On my forms, I marked that I'm a user, but I never told him that I smoked weed daily on top of the drugs, he gave me.
I told my paralegal, though, my lawyer had sent me to that Doctor. That may have affected the outcome of my lawsuit, because I only received minimal "pain and suffering".

I thought that if you told them you were doing somthing illegal they were required by their policy/legislation (whatever [possibly law?]) to tell a peer or the police?
And its the same for suicide i believe....if you tell them you are going to kill yourself and they dont tell anyone or get help then im pretty sure they go down for assisting the death....
i should really know but my lazy stoner mind tends to drift when being told about things i dont particularily care about....so this infomation may not be 100% correct but im sure i got told this....

Not if its a health related illegal issue! ;)
Quick question: Are you honest...
ok i looked through some notes from a class last year and the doctors have the right to break the confidentiality policy....if
you are going to put yourself at risk or put others at risk then they may breach the confidentiallity policy....
so yeah its only for death or serious harm in the uk......i thought it was for anything against the law but......not :)
as for telling my doctor about using weed....i would if he asked...and id probly say i used it every day, if he needed to know.....
Quick question: Are you honest...
honest if asked...
when i had surgery they asked if i SMOKED i said no..... im still alive

What about going to hospital with bullet wounds? Don't the police have to get involved?
