Please provide evidence of this "soul" you speak of. Until I you do, I will regard the word "soul" much the same way as I regard the word "leprechaun".Quote:

6. A person considered as the perfect embodiment of an intangible quality; a personification: I am the very soul of discretion.

I don't argue with the concept of "soul" used in the sense of "mind", that is, the sum of the consciousness and cognition of a person, but it's this immateriality that's so often connected to the idea that I object to. It seems, judging by the data collected on the subject, that consciousness and cognition have a very real material origin in the human brain. Such a "soul" is not separable at death. It decomposes with the rest of your organs, and there is nothing to suggest that consciousness or cognition can outlive the brain any more than heartbeat can outlive the heart.
Is this the way you convert others to your faith? If it is, then you're not converting me with you're fear tacticts. Your soul will burn in hell if you don't worship the way I do! My answer to that is, kiss my proud, blind, hairy, PAGAN ass! We're not in the tenth or thirteenth century, so if I choose to worship a big-breasted redheaded Goddess, then I will do so. If you don't want others to throw their faiths in your face, such as I, then don't throw yours around like it's the top king shit, you understand?Quote:

That sentence was inside out. Cognition can't function without the brain. And a finger can't outlive the hand.
