trichomes

Hiyas, when looking for color of trichomes, does it matter if you are looking at the top of plant? or should I be looking at middle or bottom of buds?
See pic, i'm thinkin 10 more days.

im am pretty sure from what i read is you want trichomes that look like a golf ball on a tee and they should go from clear to amber ( ball clear, tee amber) and you want about on an average 50% of these colours. after you harvest the buds still ripen for a day or so . and like you said 10 days should be good, my buds are gunna be ready inabout that time frame aswell one plant a bit longer

Thanks for the reply, I understand what you're saying. But my question is should I be looking toward the top of bud, or middle, or near bottom which is aged? I would think the tops would always be fresh, no?

the top will mature first, some people harvest the tops first, then wait a few days or a week, then harvest the middle,,then the bottom..

you need to see them close up,like my photos show, the heads will start clear ,turn cloudy, then some will go to amber, all cloudy is fine , but waiting longer for some amber is what most prefer.

Thanks alot for the input, that was what I wanted to know. How many x's on the magnifier used for those pics. I'm using a 30x, This is my first harvest by trichomes, usually I just do it by eye/hair color.

am not sure of the power of my microscope, its really old and only one side will focus :( I set my digital camera on the eye piece to get the pictures.
