blood test

OK so this isnt a blood test that is meant for like busting me on if i smoke weed or not(so its not a DRUG test) but im getting my blood drawn on wed. and its just to check up on my blood to see if like some BAD side effects has taken place or not bcuz of the perscription i take - _- requires monthly blood checks..anyways..do u think i can smoke today (MONDAY) and like drink hella water tmmr n shit n not get caught w/ THC in my system...last time i smoked and i got it drawn,..but it was like 3 days i was clean for..but yea..they arn't LOOKING for weed or nothin like that..so u think it'll be safe?

if they find thc, they cant do anything anyway. neither will they care. Their is something called the "Code of Confidentiality". Toke it up bro

the doctor bluntly asked if I did any drugs before the blood test im guessing because maybe what they use in nose/mouth surgery might mess me over or something with some other drug present. so it may have mattered a bit in my shoes.

but your not gonna get in trouble or anything.. its like.. failing a breathalizer and your on your front porch.

I think I might have to get surgery for a hernia, and was wondering if they will ask for a urine sample or take a blood sample or anything. Is this standard for operations?

If they happened to test me, and it showed up, does this "confidentiality" thing really hold up?? I mean- I'm 17 and obviously wouldn't want my parents to know, that would be terrible. Would they notify them?

It's Patient-Doctor confidentiality. I think you have it mixed up with code of silence. I know this is an old thread but I am willing to bet the OP was on Accutane for acne, making him probably under 18. If you are under 18 there are times when the doctor can tell the parents confidential info.

Someone posted in poor confusing English that they have to tell you what they are testing for. This is correct. If they draw blood or ask for urine, they have to have consent for drug testing.

Does Patient-Doctor confidentiality hold up. Yes in most cases because violating this is a huge HIPPA violation as well as other violations against healthcare providers.
