Outdoor growing: The pests at bay!

How do you keep pests from your crops people? Other than a freakin' fence what works?

I actually was wondering the SAME thing since I'm about to grow in Arizona (SCORPIONS! AHH!) and i don't want the bugs eating my bud. I want to eat it instead. And I thought a little (yes, amazing) when you're in your room and you open the window, What stops bugs from getting in? :D

Soo. MY solution is.

Make a cage around my baby with that mesh outside ur window and pee around the plant's growing area daily to keep animals at bay. :D

Spidermites will be a big prob there.
