I don't know why they call it 'down under' when you're just as close to the sun.
Thats why i only call it down under during the night :p
Yeah, but at night, you're just as close to other Suns.
Well i've always thought of 'up' as relative to one point, our sun.
Although i guess it could be defined as directly about or at right angles to the surface of the earth of each person so every person have a diferent 'up'...
...what???? :confused:
People say all the time, referring to geographic locations, that they're coming down to a state that is higher in Latitude and coming up to places that are lower in longitude. If I'm coming over, wouldn't we be at equal Latitude?Quote:

Well (depending what time of day it is) you could be going towards the sun so maybe it would count as up.
As the northen part of the hemasphere was populated first people would have got use to calling north 'up' so when they ventured south it would be down.
