Acupuncture update
I don't know if anybody recalls, but a while back I was asking about peoples experiences with acupuncture. well, I just had 3 sessions and I gotta say I'm surprised from the results, some which were unexpected.
First of all, I've had bad back and neck pain for almost 4 years now, and since the treatments I haven't had any pain at all, which is a miracle in my case, considering all the chiropractic, meds, and massage couldnt' fix it. so in that sence, I'm pretty impressed. keeping in mind however, this acupuncture was used with electrodes being sent through my nervous system, which seemed to fix something.
but the unepected thing was how it affected my smoking habbits. For the past several months I've been craving a smoke of weed all the time, every chance I get. after my first treatment a week ago, however, I haven't had the slightest desire to smoke and haven't in a week. I think this is due much to the fact that I'm not in pain, and therfor dont' require any relief ( weed relieves pain for me very effectively), however even on a good days when I wasn't in pain I still craved it, so I dont' know what's the deal with that. but hey, I can't complain I guess, this is the first time I've been able to lead a happy life without it as a crutch. I'll still toke socially, though socializing is a rare event in my case (maybe 1-2 times a month).
anyway, just thought I'd share that, if anybody has chronic pain, perhapse electrode enhanced acupuncture would be a good idea, worked better than anything for me. if anybody has any ideas why my weed desire went out the window, I'm all ears.
