Janes new addiction is going to be miticides apparently.

Today I learned that Spider Mites will run onto the top of a leaf if you first turn the leaf upside down and prod them in ass with the â??bluntâ?� tip of a fresh new Xacto blade, while watching under a magnifying loupe, uhm, ...â??cause thatâ??s the kinda guy I am??

Jane Doe, my plant, itâ??s actually still platonic so far, came down with a case of mite colonization and now nobody on this site will talk to me anymore. Itâ??s a scourge I tell you.

Early this morning I decided to send Jane (24/7 still) the message that a new lifestyle could be just around the corner for all she knew. I gave her a full dose of 2-7-7 Schultz Cactus plus a 0.25x dose of Peters 20-20-20. I will probably regret this aggressive an increase, but I think Iâ??ve been freaked out by the mites. Besides, sheâ??s ready to grow tits. I meant tips, you gutter minded despots.

Timer issue is worked out. and we could be in 12/12 by this time tomorrow night.

Where sound supression had been the priority, the mite problem now takes precedence.
From all reading I gather I am a pretty lucky newb to have caught it this early.

So far think first product linked below would be best for as small a ScrOG as Janeâ??s undergoing.

Considering tight access in a ScrOG, I am thinking the concentrate version of End All since I should mix it into a smaller trigger mister.

Could use advice on a good discreet East US mail order supplier. Or will see if what local upscale Garden Center has.

I used a product called Concern (bought at an independent garden shop) for thrips and it worked good. Says it also works for mites. But the End-All product you have listed is the same thing. An insecticidal soap. So if it were my problem, I'd use that. But the wet spray has to come in contact with the mites.

As for the mega ferts you gave this plant, if you hadn't built up to those strengths you could very easily burn it. I have one plant that would curl up and croak if I gave it that much. But I have another that would handle it. They are individuals.

Have you seen anyone, Hard, late, Zandor, Beeble, ever mention the Doctor Doom Botanical stuff?

A couple of the infected branches had been clone candidates. Those lowest branches that need to be pinched off anyway. SM's are said to usually first show up low down on plants like that.

Clones will be soaked in Willow Tea which I will make up this morning.

That would kill off adults I think. As for eggs I was going to try brushing them off with a soft toothbrush before clones get soaked.

I have heard clones do not do well with most of the miticides.

Any input on this greatly appreciated.

The only thing I saw that didn't like the Concern I used were the pistils. Some suggested that I not spray those but thrips are notorious for running and hiding in secluded areas (like flowers) so I sprayed them down. Burnt the tips of the pistils but you can't see any now after a few weeks.

I would almost suggest taking care of the mites first and then cutting. Then there shouldn't be any problems with your clones, but I've never done clones! Well I have one I call Frankenbud that I'm experimenting with. Hacked it off 21 days into flower and stuck it in a glass of water. I saw where a guy laid out exactly how to do this for cloning so thought I'd do some R&D with a flowered shoot to see how it works.
