You had mentioned before that 'rust' on leaves may indicate a Mg deficiency. What's your take on these examples?
I've got the pH taken care of and right after that the growth was good with all leaves 'at attention/no droop' but it seems like this is spreading. Was just older growth and now hitting some of the newer growth although not the newest growth.
Been in flower (from first pistils) for 19 days. Have given it a diluted dosage of Scultz 10-54-10 a few times.
Thanks for any suggestions!!

That looks like Manganese immobile to me. Looks just like the pictures in the books I have too. What is the humidity? The toxicity is compound by low humidity. The low humidity will make the plant transpire more and draw even more manganese out of the foliage. If it keeps up there will also be deficiency of Fe and Zn as well.

Ok ya got me wondering a little. Before you had said that CalMag would be the answer for a Magnesium (Mg) deficiency. From what I saw in some photos of plants with a Mg problem this is what this could be. Now you're suggesting that I have a Mangenese (Mn) problem?? Please advise.

Sorry forgot about humidity. It seems like it isn't low. No static electricity problems that suggest it being low. Air on quite a bit. Fans blowing in the grow area. But am flowering so figured lower humidity was a better thing.

Manganese immobile means the plant is not getting enough. That's why you use calmag but you are to far for it to do you any good quickly. Fish emulsion is a good source for mag. Calmag plus if good to keep a balance it takes a while for it to do any good like about a week. The fish shit feeds them quickly.
I think the terminology used confused you but now you know.

How about epsom for the Mg? Fast or slow acting? And where would you get 'fish emulsion'? I take it it's a liquid? Thanks!

HD sells it a gallon is about 9 bucks or so. It stinks to high hell too but does the trick.
You can feed them epsom salt about 2 teaspoons for every gallon and that will work also but for faster results make up a spray about 2% solution of epsom salt.

So you would recommend fish emulsion in every watering if it's RO water? What strength?
I like to know all of these little details so i keep them in a notebook.

Did I say that? That is not what I meant. CalMag plus is what I recommend with every water change (but flush) as preventive measure for those of us who use RO water.
The Fish shit is extra Manganese when you have a problem like Marc was talking about. If the plant needs a shot of Manganese only that is a cheap source.
I would not use it all the time unless you are growing Organic and then it's only a supplement you add to your other nutrients.

I actually meant to say Epson Salt and wrote fish instead.
My mistake.
