Hello and a couple questions!

Hello all.....
I cut my flowers today (outdoors, 45 degree lat) and have them in a box on top of plastic coated wire mesh and in the garage the box is under a blanket for darkness. Outdoor humidity is 60% temp around 55 pm and 78 am. Inside the box a Radio Schack humid / temp gauge says 80%...how best does one avoid mildew and mold??? Any advice from you fellow "left handed cigarette" smokers is welcome.....
