What is the size of the space? You probably need more lights..Go with an organic fertilizer for both VEG + Floweing, for veg you need more nitrogen, for flowering you need more phosphorus.. I dont reccomend miracle grow, but others will.. If you want 3 plants you might want to start with 6, that gives you a 50% chance you will have 3 females.. you may only end up with 1 female (unless you are lucky, IT COULD HAPPEN).. There are several websites devoted to closet growers.. I did a google search and found many most of them are using flourescent.. I will strongly suggest you get a HPS sodium lamp, or better yet a HPS sodium with a converter bulb for Metal Halide.. Let me know how it goes, I will be starting my grow here in a couple days in a closet that is roughly 5.5 x 2, I have 400 watts of Flors (5-40 watt fixtures with 2 bulbs) + 1 400 Watt HPS/Metal Halide and I am only planning on doing 4-5 plants..

1st Prize,
About the lights. SeedKing could not be more right-on the money, so long as the extra $150 for HPS is not problem for you.

I'm still learning but read that lots of people go from seed to bud using Compact Florescent Lights (CFL's). At $10s a pop plus bulb socket cost you can start with a couple and add on as plant gets taller.
Somebody might say your pair of what are they - 4 footers?? - is okay for now. Not sure on that, but they might.
