ah thats very kind of you weedmale.... :)
But really the personal 'art' of it doesn't begin to play a role until about 3 weeks....
The basics are fundamental 2 + 2 = 4 everytime.
1. PRO MIX SOIL
2. 6.8 pH water
3. Lights
Thats it man. Its tuff to fuck that up :)
It's all 3 working in unison. The biggest factor though is lights.
You need true CFL's not the kind you buy in the stores. You need some 5500K - 6400K bulbs and several of them.
Keep a fan on them and let them be.
Thanks again for the kind words but I learned a lot of it here from Zandor and a little bit from everyone else.
Both successes and failures leave clues.
Everytime :)
Hard,
How much do those CFL's like you've got cost?
And can they be gotten locally? Home Depot I mean.?
tks
The big ones are $60.00 each i think.
Only online is where I know to get them.
Certainly not HD or any other general store.
I found some today at a local farm and barn store but they had a mogul base. 65watts. $10! Said they were 4000 lumens. Didn't see the base for them but I believe these were made for specific light fixtures. I'll look next time I'm out there just for shits and giggles. Maybe the bases are cheap too!
hey marc..i think you bought a 10 dollar bulb, that has no ballast, I did it too....
the bulb is made foran outdoor pole light correct? check the box ,it will say it needs a ballast...inless you got one hell of a bargain..
i think this is what Hardon is speaking of...

I didn't buy that bulb. Read the description first and saw it needed a ballast. All I said was that I found one...but it needed a specific base/ballast.Quote:

I got the 65W 6400K one. The guy responds to emails and ships it like there's no tomorow. The light really made a difference. I do, however, want to try getting the ones with a ballast like Limpy over there and try to see a difference. Digital cameras are great for telling differences with lights. :D Goodluck.
Also I had paid like $40 for it after shipping so I dunno what kinda shipping I got, but it came pretty fucking fast.
