flush your plant(s) 2 weeks before you harvest them so that you wont taste the nutes in your bud aight pce
are u sure dude, cuz that would mean that i need to do that right away?
I think it all depends on when and what kind of nutes to be exact.
Organic nutes?......No need to flush :)
Chemical Nutes?.....Flush with about 1 week left.
Ideally, you might consider to stop nutes 3 weeks prior to harvest and allow the plant to use up its store of nutes in both plant and soil, thus mitigating the need to flush at all.
Its not critical to the health of the plant, but can be for the harshness of the smoke :)
This is correct information flushing is always a good idea it will not only improve taste it will also force the plant to use up stored chlorophyll and speed up the curing time as well.Quote:

IMO, there should be a dry spell before harvest. and you should increase the dark period for the last few days of the plants life.
Most excellent advice sir BobBong :)Quote:

The dry spell right before harvest is to increase the THC content to .. pretty much as high as you can get it. when the plant has a dry spell it soaks up alot more of the moisture in the buds.. mildly increasing the THC content. Increasing the dark period signals to the plant the days are now getting much shorter, and it's time to bud like mad.. because soon, the plant knows it will die. On my last grow i put the light cycle to 10/14 as opposed to 12/12 for the last week. then 8/16 for the last few days. every morning when she awoke, there were new hairs all over(and that's late in the flowering cycle). Proving that the light cycle DOES make the majority of the difference when harvesting MJ.
This is all pretty much straight from Mel Frank & Ed Rosenthal's "Marijuana Growing Guide".
Sounds good...I think I'll try this.
