on second thought is paint to best to use after all? what is the first chioce reflection material ?
because foil cost much less money and time to use instead of paint but does foil reflect aswell and how does foil affect the temperature of the growbox?
wouldnt foil heat the growbox up much more then if i painted it?
plz help !
Flat white - acrylic is fine -
Some of the better grow rooms are decked out by hanging a white mylar which I think they say Walmart carries.
Walmart also sells something called an "emergency blanket" in their camping / hunting department. It's made of stuff that looks silvery like tin foil... and some have used that
!!! !!! !!! BUT !!! !!! !!!
Regular Tinfoil? Never!!
Always Go With Flat White.
-------------------------------------
A quadzillion people have used and will continue to use 'regular tinfoil'. Just put it's dullest side out and it works fine. I use it and all is well. Shiny side out is supposed to create hot spots by reflection and supposedly could burn the plant. I don't think that's the case with fluorescents. Maybe with hid's though since they're so much more powerful.
Yes, mylar or other surfaces may work better, but I'd like to see some results that prove it. Actually prove it. Not just heresay.
You wont get any spot burn from tin foil dull side out or shiny side out with CFL's.
The light has been diffused already as it leaves the bulb :)
Yep,
Stand corrected.
Using dull side of tinfoil is okay. Shiny side is not okay.
Flat white is good. Gloss white is not good.
