oh you mean in one go?
A 400w HID covers 9-10 square feet...if you put it on a light mover, you could do 3-4
but I would try 2-3 at most, because during flower they are going to spread and take alot of room...what are you starting with?...clones or seeds...clones you might be able to squeeze 4, but with seed, you have to determine sex and cull the males, so be frugle with your 1st grow
Im gonna be starting with feminised seeds so I dont have a problem with finding the males. It will be my second grow, I grew 3 plants under the same light last time and it seemed like there was enough light for more.
3 is as much as you want to do. It also depends on how long you intend to veg.
It is not a matter of if you think there is more light my friend, you have to make sure that each plant get's adequate light penetration, (you need to surround your grow in panda or mylar or it won't matter how many plants you start)...besides your yield will be the same with 3 plants as 5 for instance, because if you were to say, cram 5 plants under that light the lower area would not fluorish. If only 3 plants , better light penetration to lower plant=higher yield...If you have room for a light mover 6', then you could grow 5 plants maybe 6...Take it from me...if you look at my grow pix you will see 11 plants at times...this made it harder for me to see seeds forming...I worked my ass off, moving them feeding them and in the end most of the smaller plants were around an ounce yield, I have around 3/4 lb on one plant...so, What we are telling you, is, that if you want to get the good yield, grow 2-3 and you will yield just as much :)Quote:
