dumb semi-newbie question

Does weed get old? I mean should you smoke it before a certain time? Will it lose effect if you wait too long?

at all depends on the conditions it is stored in if its in a air tight bag and somewhere cool and dark it should stay the same potency for i dunno know at least a week and a half ----just a guess

No it won't. Try and keep weed sealed in an airtight bag, it can go "stale" after a while. I kept my stuff put away in a ziploc/sealed for about a month, and it was still a good smoke, if a little stale. Also, if you stick it in the freezer, it will keep for however long.

jars are good for perserving weed, sometimes i use little baby food sized glass jars for small amounts

weed does lose potency from age but it takes a long time if stored properly.
Many folks cure it 6 months or so before smokin any at all.
In the curing process it gains potency. I have not personally observed the difference in potency from curing this long but I have read it, and believe it as it came from a reputable source.
It will be quite fine for longer than youll problably be able to keep it before it degrades.

btw its not a dumb question. It has been asked a lot here but certainly not dumb. Seeking knowledge is the most intelligent thing to do!

i keep mine in a jar in a cool, dry, dark area, and it's still good. been there for a lil over a month now.
