Does Smoking Make You More Social?

Do you open up to people when you get stoned, or become more introverted? I tend to get really social.

I've been thinking about this one off and on since I started smoking when I was just a 16 year old kid. If you're at a party, then getting stoned is the most effective way to enhance the experience: you'll be more open to talk to strangers because, for one, you're sharing the experience of getting stoned; two, if you suffer from social anxiety (which I do not), it goes away; three, on some base level, you're comitting a crime with someone, so there a bonding that happens.

On the other hand, smoking pot alone will have just the opposite effect: you'll get so stoned that, if someone calls, you'll just be like "I got the T.V and all of this food here, so why the fuck do I want to go out, maybe get arrested, and have general paranoia ruin my high?"

This is all different depending on your individual disposition, but I know that this is how it works for me.

normally i'm quite and don't say shit to anyone unless they speak to me first (atleast in person) if i'm high/or have been drinking then i tend to never shut my mouth, i just have so much to say when i'm high.

im well quiet unless im lean then i just talk about shit 4 hours 2 any1 hoo will listen

wow thats wierd, it kinda sucks, getting high.. or more stoned, makes me really un social, like id rather be home by myself... listenin to music and munchin. alcohol makes me a bit too social uno what i mean

To me, getting high makes me more comfortable in any situation. If im at home normal im like damn, i wanna go somehwere, but if i blaze im like, this is kewl. Also, if im at a party or already somewhere, im usually happy, but it makes me happier. :)

My highs aren't always social. Some are up and peppy and some are chill and laid back. I woulding call "chilling" a very social activity. It really depends.

I become self-conscious around people who aren't high, and less likely to voice an opinion.
