New Leaders

Has anyone else noticed that there has been a serious shortage of capiable leaders in the US. I am a proud american citezen but i think that the lack of capiable intellegant leaders is bringing this country to its knees and eventually will be resposible for the fall of the american empire if i may call it that. Now with world economies growing at a rapid pace they will soon surpass us and we will see a sad day in american history. If someone does not come to our aid as far as political needs go we have no chance. We need someone not connected to corprate america and some one who will do what is right not hat they feel should be done for oil or other resources. We need someone who can unify our country and patch uneasy realations with european nations. Is this just me or do you all agree?

that's because the voting machine comanies are owned by former NSA and CIA and congressmen (hagel won on machines he owns all over his state, despite the polls...i think it was hagel...), and clear channel...

elections are fixed. soon enough though, we'll have regional appointed governments for us, to keep us safe from al qaeda.

Regardless of any election tampering, the intense media and political scrutiny placed upon anyone running for office usually discourages most sane people from even trying. All we're left with are prima donnas and those who've falsely led "perfect lives."

i know...good people are encouraged not to be nasty and to play friendly...then your opponent comes out slamming you and lying about you...

but once touch screens go in nationwide, it won't matter...the LCRA and other unconstitutional regional governments laugh at opposition, because they're voting machines make sure they can't get unseated...or they're appointed and unnacountable.

this is the new freedom, unelected, unaccountable, unconstitutional appointed regional governments working with the military industrial complex and homeland security to keep us safe from the freedom hating terrorists...

"New and better leaders" will never solve our problems. Every president in the past 100 years has done the exact opposite of at least one of the major points of their campaign.

As in every election weâ??re now being bombarded with propaganda about how â??your vote makes a differenceâ?� and associated nonsense. According to the official version ordinary citizens control the state by voting for candidates in elections. The President and other politicians are supposedly servants of â??the peopleâ?� and the government an instrument of the general populace. This version is a myth. It does not matter who is elected because the way the system is set up all elected representatives must do what big business and the state bureaucracy want, not what â??the peopleâ?� want. Elected representatives are figureheads. Politiciansâ?? rhetoric may change depending on who is elected, but they all have to implement the same policies given the same situation. Elections are a scam whose function is to create the illusion that â??the peopleâ?� control the government, not the elite, and to neutralize resistance movements. All voting does is strengthen the state & ruling class, it is not an effective means to change government policy.

If a party wins the elections but implements policies that go against the interests of big business then profits will go down and businesses & investors will withdraw their investments. This capital flight will cause the economy to crash. If the ruling party does not change its policies to appease big business then they'll lose the next elections due to the bad economy. In practice most parties change their policies to appease the corporate elite in order to avoid losing power.
