I have a plant that is 3 weeks into flowering and I noticed that only the top is male and the bottom of the plant is female. I topped the plant. Am I risking all of my other plants? Has anyone had success with this??

I have not.
But logic remains...
A plant is hermie...
Cut off the nut sacks....OUCH
YOu still have a hermi plant.
It will remain a hermie. All it takes is one splooge in your garden....
Why even keep it though?
Well, I have about 10 plants. But this is a really nice plant... About 5 foot tall and only the top two nodes are male. So I just chopped off the top and was hoping to get nice buds from the rest. Think it's too much to risk??
Too much to risk?
That is your call :)
Remember, just because you gut off the parts of the male you can see, even the rest of the plant will produce seeds in those buds you want to keep.
You are indeed risking your entire grow.
But is the risk worth the reward?.........
ONly offtheradar can answer that...
I didn't realize that the buds that it creates will be seed filled if I removed all of the male pods... Hmmm, if thats the case I'm just gonna cut the whole thing down.
I took 9 out of 18, I have 9 strong fem's, it hurt at first, but I'm 2 weeks from harvest and seedless, I'll trade 9 male/herm's for 9 fem's w/ 90% more thc..jmho.later
You can keep it if you want to constenetly look for balls...the buds will have very little seeds. Some people see a hermie and freak, but the truth is if you cut off the balls (and they give you plelty of warning)the buds are not worth lossing to me...I'd make hash out of it after I cut of the balls all season...but it's your coice. If I had all those other plants I'd just maybe kill it,I don't know.
right on jdog! smoke it! i mean i can remember bags with many seeds, we still smoked it! According to my high times as long as the pollen sacks haven't popped just cut 'em and you'll get sensimelia
