does dxm cause memory loss?
my friend & i were just talking & i told her last summer it seemed like everything changed, i can't pay attention in school (a lot less than i could before, i mean), I can't read books for more than 2 pages, i can't remember anything, it seems like, just doing all around worse at that kind of stuff.
We thought it might be the dxm, i've been taking it on average 1-2 times a week for a year, just 120-150 mg, but still she thinks it might be the dxm.
i looked on erowid, by the way, i go there all the time, doesn't say anything about low dose long term effects.
anyway thanks if you can help
does dxm cause memory loss?
Yes it could very well be the dxm thats responsible. 1 of the receptors it blocks normally receives glutamate; a amino acid that is believed to be one of the keys to learning and forming memories. So if you block that receptor with dxm, you're prolly gonna have a hard time learning and remembering things.
does dxm cause memory loss?
too bad :( is it permanent??
does dxm cause memory loss?
Probably not.
I had used dxm for a while and did experience some slight memory and learning problems, (Most only lasting for a few days.) but I think that those problems are now mostly if not completely gone and I've been off dxm for about 1.5-2 years.
I too used it on and off for about a year maybe a little longer, but I usually (not always) spaced my doses out to about twice a month, and they were always at least 300 mg, usually more.
does dxm cause memory loss?
I've done DXM like every 2 or 3 days for 3 months or so (a lot of you would say that's overboard but... I disagree. As long as you're responsible.) and I have suffered no ill effects from it. Other than weird hangovers.
