that same hot day....

....it was maybe 2 hours later.
Standing on pavement in 94 degree weather. Burning in the sun and our own stupidity. I decided i was just going to walk back to the house and accept defeat. Try again tomorrow, maybe save my money and buy a new amp. After walking 5 steps i relized i forgot to say goodbye to anyone. So i turned around to thank them for the blunt, when coming around the corner on a blue and red Gary Fisher is my pal Adam. Absoutely ripped out of his mind. He stumbles to a halt and almost goes shooting of the seat into the scalding concrete. He mumbles something incohereant about how his little brother had either robbed a gift shop in southern maine, or caused his step pop's brothers pain. The he laughed and took a drink off a 40 ounce of sam adams 1/3 full. It wasnt his first. When he attempted to dismount the bike, his pants got caught on the seat and he fell on his face with a loud CRASH as the bottle shattered on the ground.
"oh...shit...huh..hahahaha...fuck."
I spoke first.
"Umm...hey Adam, whats up man"
"Shiiit man..jus tryin to make the grade yunno get paid yunno?"
"yeah..right.....Get paid?"
"heells yeah i gotts to sell this shit before tommorrow or im gonna get my fuckin ASS kicked"
"What shit? Whos gunna kick your ass?"
By now he was sitting with his back againts a small photo studio next to the bridge. He kept taking his hat off and looking inside it. Like there was some small critter running around inside, messin up his hair.
"maan this weed man, this fuckin herb...this guy fronted me 2 ounces about 14 days ago and i havent been able to sell shit, now he says he's gunna fuck me up if i dont get his money by tomorrow."
"..........you have 2 zips for sale?"
"what?..yeah, you know anyone whos lookin?"
"Yeah, i think i know some kids"
Needless to say, it was our lucky day. Adam whent ape shit when we told him we'd buy both of 'em.
