i bought a digiweigh scale of ebay it has gram, oz, grain, and ct anyways when i put a nickel on in g it weight 0.5 then when i put a 1/8 th on it weighed .2 but on grain it weigh 3.1 and it weighed out on the other persons scales so now i am lost anyone no anything about the grain???? what is that used to weigh beccaues my gram is fucked up
were u high when u typed this? maybe it weighed out 3.1 cuz u smoked a .4 outa that 1/8th then freaked out and typed this....try putting the nickel on the "grain" settin, if it weighs 5.0 then that is probbly the settin you should use
I can tell you this much, a US dollar weighs a gram and a nickle should weigh 5 grams.
Whats the model number? Digiweight is just a brand, they make lots of scales.
put the scale on the gram setting and weigh out a nickel everytime before you use it just to be sure it's accurate. a nickel should weigh out to exactly 5.0 on the gram setting. after you weigh the nickel and its right then place the bag on it and see how much it weighs.
ps: remember the bag weighs something too, or take all the weed out and just weigh that.
3.1 grains = 0.200876621 gram courtesy of Google converter. Maybe you're confusing grams and grains.
Oh, and 1 grams = 15.4323584 grains, grains are for weighing lighter things like powders and gems probably.
on grams or g a nickel weighs 0.5 is this right???? no i wasnt high and its a digiweigh z series DW-250BZ: 250g/0.1g what does the last part .1g mean? I got ripped the fuck off a doller bill don't even weigh on g.
What does the nickel weigh on grains? The last part, .1g means the scale reads in increments of .1 grams.
I searched the DigiWeigh website and got the instructions for calibrating the scale, which may be your problem. I don't know if you have the manual, which is available only as a Word document. http://www.digiweighusa.com/bzmanual.doc

Although your scale was calibrated before shipping, due to different gravity in different part of the globe, a from-time-to-time calibration will keep your scale always accurate.
In the status of OFF, hold both TARE key and MODE key and press ON/OFF button and release all buttons when the screen shows ??CAL?. Hereinafter the screen will show a negative figure, which is its internal code. Wait until the internal code stays on a certain figure, press the MODE button, the screen shows weight of the standard weight then shows ??PASS? and then weight of the standard weight again. Press ON/OFF button to switch off the scale. Calibration is completed.
Oh, and if you do e-mail them refrain from using terms like 'eighth' or 'weed' or anything else pertaining to drugs.

This is a new entry to the marketplace NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE WELL KNOWN DIGI SCALE COMPANY. The name of Digiweigh scales will probably change due to trademark infringement of the DIGI trademark (for weighing devices). Actually if you go to the DIGI website you'll see "DIGI WEIGHING" which is probably where this new little company got the name from. Digiweigh is really a trading company called Chinapro (run by two people, Edward and Lillian Pan). They were based in China but recently moved to the USA to open Digiweigh. They now operate their trading company from a small unit in the Los Angeles area. Chinapro does not own any factories, they are a typical small Chinese style trading company where they purchase scales from various factories and try to profit from the markup (difference between what they have to pay the factory and what they can sell the products for). There has been a glut of low quality / low cost scales coming out of China and Chinapro hopes to take advantage of this by selling these low cost / low quality scales directly into the US market.
Note that Digiweigh does NOT manufacture any scales nor do they design or even repair scales. They are not a scale company, there are just a small trading company. It's funny to see them offer a 5 year warranty (or even a LIFETIME warranty) when they have only been open in the US for a few months. We are not sure if they actually honor their warranty or if they will be in business for very long. As you may know, as a scale enthusiast, we truly dislike these small "fly by night" trading companies as they devalue the entire scale industry with poor service and lower quality products.
UPDATE: Again the truth is often stranger - and wilder then fiction: We received an email from Edward Pan's former employer (XJ Group) saying that Edward's USA Immigration Visa is now cancelled because of a dispute (they claimed Edward had opened his company on the side without their knowledge and they were quite angry about it). They asked us to post this information to notify everyone that Edward is not working for XJ group any longer. (I guess he's an illegal alien now? - Again - the truth is stranger and wilder then fiction!)
