whats the difference from indica and sativa? whats the distinct features of both of them?
Ok, indica plants grow small, but thick. The blades on the leaves are very wide, close together and in some cases, even webbed leaves. An indica dom. strain will give you a couchlock/narcotic high and flowering time is uaully shorter than sativa
A sativa plant, grows tall and lanky. The leaves are much thinner, and there is space between each bladed leaf. An sativa stone will give you an up/energetic high. They take a long time to finish flowering but very well worth it.
There are 100% indica strain, there are 100% sativa too, but in a lot of cases in plantsd, there is a mix of the 2. I personally like a mix of the 2, that way you get a sativa stone and an indica stone. I'll try and find some pics, hold on...
Okay, here are a few pics I found.
1st is sativa, 2nd is side by side shot, 3rd is indica. Hope this helps, peace.
I've been thinking alot about this.My theory is it all has to do with where the strain originates. For example sativa tall and lanky...most likely started in a hot humid environment.Indica...short and squat, big fat buds can grow in a dryer environment without growing mold and distroying the flowers. Also theres flowering time-sativa long light cycle, most likely originated by the equater.Indica short light cycle, originates further north or south.
Remember this is a theory and I don't know if it's true.
Sounds right to me.
what about ruderalis and hemp?
I also am interested in knowing what ruderalis looks like, buzz type, ect....post that if you could find it. that would make my week!
Hemp contains little to no THC. It is used for industrial use. Making paper, fiber, etc...not made for smoking, grows no buds.
I found this at www.erowid.com, here:
"Cannabis ruderalis is a debated third variety of cannabis found in Russia, Poland, and other eastern Europen countries. Schultes classified cannabis as having three species: sativa, indica, and ruderalis based on the formation of the seed pods. There is some debate as to whether there is justification for this third category. Some features of ruderalis are large seeds, short weedy plants (4-6 feet tall) and a lower level of thc than sativas or indicas."
I attached a few pictures I found around. Looks to me that they grow small, and in a christmas tree kind of shape. But all the sites I found said that it is usually lower in THC than normal varieties. Nothing I'd spend money on anyways.
Well then, I guess thats some nasty shit then, huh! Well, good lookin out on the info bro....Ive been wondering about that ruderalis shit for months...hehehe.
Thanks Dogg!-emtpockets:)
