With the recent news of Sandra Day O'Conner retiring from Supreme Court Justice, there have been a whole slew of talk in other political fourms of a possible overturn of Roe Vs Wade. It' wont happen. Not even if Bush nominates Joesph Stalin himself for Justice. Why you may ask? Bush's approval ratings are the lowest they have ever been since when he was first "elected" back in 2000. The American public is in favor of Roe Vs Wade 2:1, according to Meet the Press. If he did overturn Roe Vs Wade he would be comitting Political Suicide. But Josh, Bush is a lame duck president, he doesn't care since he cannot and will not be elected or nominated in 08. True, but it would be suicide to the Republican Party.

I feel there are good reasons for an abortion. Ever see the documentery "The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off"? The mother stated in front of him that if she had it to do over, she would have aborted just to save the poor guy a life time of pain. This dude suffered EXTREEMLY for 36 years! You're going onto a slippery slope with yer thinkin,that kind of thinking,plays into the the hands of euthanasia supporters. Even though I'm in chronic pain,I still relish life,as I suspect the feller did in your link..if you could ask him,I'd bet that he would say,that he's glad he didn't git aborted..what say you ?

Actually the dude welcomed death. You should have saw it when the mother was changing his bandages....this guy really suffered. Sorry to hear about your situation....didn't know! Best wishes and keep up the faith!

according to meet the press??what a joke that is.i promise if abortion were put to a national vote it would be outlawed quicker than you can blink an eye.why do you think it was never put through the amendment process(because it would fail)
this is a prime example of why the dems have no real power anymore,they are clueless and 100% out of touch with the MAJORITY.

Hey Torog!
Let me just say personal ideals aside how about we get to the root? Forget about what's "right" and "wrong" and lets just focus on the rights of an individual to do it in the first place.
First off though im interested to know your standpoint on the whole thing. do you support NO abortion or SOME abortion given a few discrepancies? Then we can work with whatever your answer is?
BTW i think that in my case i'd pick the latter choice. feel free to add any more of your own if it's too broad.
