Zandor, This is Johnny, The Bubbler is not working, need help!

I have had my clones in the home made bubbler for almost 10 days, they look great still, but no roots. I have had a very hard time getting clones to root, I tried the Jiffy Peat method (Never do that again). I tried the water clone method (Will not try that again) The bubbler I made seems to me that is should work, it is doing what it is suppost to do, but I just can't seem to get them to root. What am I missing and you said in a previous post you could help me with building an airocloner like you just discribed in a recent post.

Help please.

water temp ok?

Water temp hangs around room temp 70 - 76 Degrees F. Is that about right or is that to low?

You and several other people kept assuming me to so yesterday I did. I did lock the thread in hopes Ron will make it a sticky so every can find it easer.

How wet is the underside of the lid you are using?
How much air gap is there between the stems hanging down and the water line? What is the Ph of the water?
What cloning gel or powder are you using?
What type of water are you using?
What type of light are you using?
What is the temperature at the top of the clones?
What is the Humidity?
Are you using Anti-wilt (you should, everyone should)?
How many air stones are you using?

As for bubbler clones they require lots of bubbles and I mean lots of bubbles. You should not be able to see the bottom of the tub you are using because of all the bubbles.

Don't worry once you get it down it goes quick and easy. Thanks for starting a new thread I hate highjacking someone elseâ??s thread.

Johnnyrocketfuel: I use styrofoam and a soldering iron. A heated up clothes hanger will also suffice. Poke it through the styrofoam in a pattern of lines or squares and put the cuttings through the holes, (use rooting compound). Make sure a little of the cutting is hanging below the botton of the styrofoam and like others here have told you, make sure to have lots of bubbles. Another method you may want to try is to start the cuttings in a small planter with a plastic bag over it. Make sure the soil is very moist and rich, use rooting compound here too, put it under 18 hours of light and 6 hours of dark, blow some carbon dioxide into the bag and don't touch it for two weeks at least. The bubbler is working now, I had to get a stronger air pump to get more bubbles. Once I got that going, my 2 clones started rooting, So thanks again for the help, I think it will get better now.
