Fear and Loathing in Booneville

Man, I had one hell of a night. Let me tell you.

One of my friend's band had a gig up in Chicago around 9 o Clock at a lounge bar. Forget the name. Anyway, myself and friend and two female companions decided to go. We would take the train into Chicago. Well, before hand my friend and I decided to get some potent mushrooms. We would eat them and watch the band play from the confront of a nice comfy couch or something. The girls thought otherwise of consuming the mushrooms while in a public place.

We're running kinda of late when we get to the train station. Before that we decided to buy a taco sand put the mushrooms in the tacos and eat the tacos while on the train. Well when we get there the train is taking off. Slow, but still moving. So we all spring for it running. My friend and I are in the lead. The girls are well running like girls and are far behind. Me and my friend catch up to the train and jump onto the platform as it's moving. Well, that didn't sit too well with the Conducter who happen to be in the same car as we jumped on. He stares at us, and sees that we still have two other female friends ready to jump onto the very slow moving train. Well, he blocked the entrance and told them no chance in hell. Well, they where left there at the station. He then starts yelling and me and my friend saying how close to we came to dieing. Me and my friend just act polite and eat away at our mushroom tacos. He then asks where we're headed, we tell him Chicago sir! "You idiots! THis damn train is heading South! I'm kicking you boys off at the next stop" "Where's that" we ask. "20 Miles south a small town(I cant for the life of me remember the name)" 20 Miles later, me and my friend are in some God Forsaken hick town. Now let's back up a bit shall we? All of us bought the train tickets with cash. The only Cash we had. We planned on spending everything on our credit cards. My friend and I also left our damn cell phones in the car! Idiots we are. So we set off the train and the whole station is abandoned and dark. Looks like something out of a zombie or horror flick. We step onto the road and see nothing for miles. Small country roads and no cars and that time of hour. So we're broke, no phones,no signs of people anywhere, about to trip our balls off, and not to mention skip out on a show we promise our buddy we would see. Shitty situation if I may say so.

So a walking we go! We walk a good 10-15 minutes when the drugs begin to kick in full swing. I feely really concerned and upset about the whole situation we're in. I looked over at my friend, and the experience tripper that he is, I can see is a bit shaken up at the whole ordeal that is happening to us.We finally see a farm house. This farm house look exactly like something our of House of a 1000 Corpses or Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Creepy indeed. We need to find a phone or least someone to point us in the direction of gas station or something. Upon closer inspection of the farm home we see a sign. "Warning this land is protect by a harm civilian. Is anything on this land worth the price of dieing for?" Now I can see just it. The man or woman inside see two boys walking through the property. Oh Shit they think. Time to get our guns and ask questions later. Now on the property they had a lot of funky looking windmills and other lawn decorations. As I would walk up to them, they would bend and fold or turn different colors. I walk my buddy to the door and we knock. A middleaged man answers the door. HE says "You folks look lost" We tell him our situation and he suggests a cab. He askes where we live. We tell him our locations and he says Shucks that only about a 45 minute or so drive. We then tell him our situation of having only plastic on us and we don't think cabs take plastic. He assures us there is a cab company that acutally lets you charge over the phone and whatever the cab fair is at the end of the trip. Goes through their office. We agree.

It took the cab about half an hour to reach us, the man was kind enough to let us stay in his home. Now remind you, we're tripping pretty good. And I'm sure the man had to notice our pupils. Everything in his home had the waterfall effect wall pattern and everything was really really Shiny in his home. Both of us kept our cool and didn't act out of the norm. Still, I was really freaking out in our heads. The cab reached us and sent us on our way. We got to our respected homes and it cost a fortane. But me and buddy spilt it down the middle. I called one of the girls cells and they told us they made it to Chicago and asked where the hell we're at. I told them the whole story. They still don't believe us. Oh Well, it was an experience non-the less.

Shit! What a story *round of applause* pretty scary stuff that.. glad you got back home:D, did the girls say how the gig went?

Ya they decided to drive out there and well they made it on time I supposed and said they put on a good set.

wow dude, imagine the story that will make when you tell your kids about it 30 years down the road, Ive been in a similar situation where I was like 30 miles from home and no way back, so me and a buddy hitched a ride with a drunk driver.....that is a ride ill never ever forget...I was sure my life was over that night.
