QUESTION:::Why do kamikazi pilots bother to wear helmets?
I think that is the best question ever!! are we sure that they wear helmets? I will investigate and keep you updated!
so if they hit here head before they get to the crash point they dont wanna get knocked out or anything so they protect there head
best i can think of
Simply put, the helmet was necessary to pilot the aircraft. Inside the helmet was the communication gear, and the goggles were attached to helmet as well.
This question is usually asked for its "joke" value, since it was a fact that the pilot was on a suicide mission. Rest assured, the helmet did absolutely no good in making the mission "survivable
Yeah, what Anonymous said. Not all kamikaze pilots went directly for crashing. Kamikaze pilots would fight until their plane was too damaged, so they would point the nose down and aim for the biggest enemy anything. =)
The helmets were there so they didn't get hurt before that.
helped keep their head warm too. It's mighty frosty up there. It wouldn't do any good if they crashed early cause they had already frozen to death.
it looked cute on them....
Ya, like someone said kind of. Their mission is not just to commit suicide, but by doing damage to their enemy using their aircraft. They have to wear the helmet just in case something hits them on the head on the way there. If they die BEFORE they get to their suicide hit, then they never got the mission completed. Not only do they take their own life, in so-called "honour for their country", they will hopefully take out and kill as many opposing members as possible.
Simple.
same reason they sterilize the needle for lethal injections. But dude shut the fuck up with your weird ass questions
