Making vaporizer at home, have question

lol, yes I know there's been too many of these, but I really do need to ask this.

So I'm making myself the lightbulb vaporizer, but all I can find is the lightbulbs that are white, not clear. I dont' know if it's correct, but I heard from one person that you should only use a clear one because the shit used to make them white can damage your brain. anybody know what the true case for this is?

also, I have some clear ones but they're very long and thin, would that still work ok?

That's not true. When you cut off the end of the light bulb just rinse the inside of it out with water as the white stuff is just a powdered coating and it will wash out easily. I would'nt have you do something that would hurt you bro. If you want my guide do a search on this site for "Homemade Vaporizer Construction" It's all in detail there.

thanks for the info Zero :) . I just finished making it after about 20 minutes work, my back's killing me from leaning over the stuff working, but it's all done and worth it now :) . however, the metal part doesn't cut easily for some reason with mine, so I had to break it right off and use electrical tape to hold on the nozzle.

but does it smoke good?

no the bud does not burn but the chemical compisition of the bud breaks down so no you dont see it.

so do u light the bottom of it? and let it get ot for like 30 seconds.. or while u ar elgihting it do u inhale from the one straw? im kinda confused i know im a newb! but hey it only took me abotu 10 minutes to make and it looks sweet.. thanks alot =0) goign to use it tonight !!

I'm resurrecting this thread because of one last question, that being with a lightbulb vaporizer (which I have), when you hold the flame under it, how do you know when the vapor is released? is there some set time you hold the flame or something?
