Glad you're starting a hobby :)
Remember to remove any fertilizer from the water 2 weeks prior to harvest, only water for the last 2-3 weeks
Alrighty. Are there any special flushing agents that you would recommend?
I give mine Straight water for the last 2 weeks of its life..
Its a Good Idea to get yourself a Microscope with a 30X magnifyer so you Can Keep an eye On the Final Trichome develpoment(you can find em for aroun $20 in your local Electronics store..
and Get some Good Large Glass Jars for curing prefferebly the Rubber sealed Clip lock spagetti Jars are good.:)
Do you Plan on outdoors or indoors..?.
Mine are outdoors so I mostly use Liquid Worm castings and Nitro Pills.
sometimes I'll throw some Slow release furteliser Pellets around the Base of the PLants also...

I do prefer a commercial flusher it does work faster and does a better job. There is no taste left behind they do a great job cleaning out left over nutrients. You can grow easy or you can work for your bud. The difference is easy is a few ounces and if you work at it you can yield much more. It's all about the environment and the correct nutrient balance at the precise time of the cycle to yield the most. If you don't have one you should get a good book as a reference guide it will save you a lot of time and stress.
Thanks. Now that I have that out of the way, does anyone have good experiences with High-grade seed company? (in the US)
