Klonopin
Hi guys,
My mum has been taking Klonopin for 17 years now, and is trying to get off it. But its difficult because shes having bad withdrawl symptons. Shes been very snappy, and agrumentive....just no fun for her or anyone else at home. I wonder if any of you had gotten off the stuff? She said she could have seezers too so im very worried :( And shes been sleeping a lot more than usual (which is a lot). If ne1 has any feedback i'de appreciate it very much. Thankz!

Klonopin
And, do you think weed would help her with her withdrawls?

Klonopin
Yes, I had a friend that took klonopin for severe migraines and stress related issues. She slept all of the time until she became very depressed. Weed would definately help your mother wean off the klonopin. It is important to let your mother make the decision to come off klonopin. I am unsure of her diagnosis or why she is taking it, but I know that weed has many anticdotal properties and helps resolve a lot of symptoms. Klonopin may not have depression as a side effect, but studies have shown that people who tend to sleep a lot during the day due to medication have depression. They battle low self-esteem from their sleeping habits. They just can't stay awake and then feel guilty. Have you tried talking with your mom about your concerns? Is it safe for you to discuss this with her?

Yeha yeah, thank you very much. She does want to get off the medication. This is her 3rd day of not taking it. She just left for the hospital now. Shes going to see if they know how to help her get off. She does sleep a lot during the day. She takes at least 3 naps. Shes always complaining she has headaches and its clear the medication isent doing her good. Again thanks a lot! :)

Klonopin
If she still has some left, she can try to stretch the doses out with grapefruit juice.
