Rolling and Roaches

can you guys help me out?

i want to know what roaches do exactly, are they just like a filter?

and do they make rolling easier, as you already have the round shape?

Preface: I have never seen or used one, but I know a little about them.

They do NOT filter, they are there fore better drawl. They may make rolling easier, but I know lots of people add them afterwords, though not everyone. DON'T smoke the roach. Its going to be super harsh, so break open the joint, and smoke the remaining resinated weed in a bowl.

a roach or fliter can be made from small peice of paper or a stiff thin cardboard

Just use the pkg from your papers for a 'filter' and save the roaches for your bowl. It wont make the draw any easier if you smoke the stank I smoke because itll be gummed up and oozin out the end onto your lips.
The roach always has an intense concentration of resins.

Some peple use them., some dont
Some use a rolled up bit of card (like a bit offthe flap on a Rizla packet) some use the trimmed end of a cigarette (mostly in continental Europe).
Some people roll thei rjoin with the roach already in, some put it in afterwards.

Personal preference, but I'dsay put something there, that way you dont get a mouthful of weed/baccy
