this is just one in a string of short lived propaganda campaigns...the jessica lynch thing, the pat tillman thing...the whole 'freedom' toast and 'freedom' fries bullshit...they never end, they go on forever...
why such the heavy propaganda to convince us of something that is obviously so good, or should be obvious, even if it isn't obvious, or good?
why do they have to make up lies and then put the spotlight on it?
One of our best-kept secrets is the degree to which a handful of huge corporations control the flow of information in the United States. Whether it is television, radio, newspapers, magazines, books or the Internet, a few giant conglomerates are determining what we see, hear and read. And the situation is likely to become much worse as a result of radical deregulation efforts by the Bush administration and some horrendous court decisions.
NBC is owned by General Electric, one of the largest corporations in the world and one with a long history of anti-union activity. GE, a major contributor to the Republican Party, has substantial financial interests in weapons manufacturing, finance, nuclear power and many other industries. Former CEO Jack Welch was one of the leaders in shutting down American plants and moving them to low-wage countries like China and Mexico.
ABC is owned by the Disney Corp., which produces toys and products in developing countries where they provide their workers atrocious wages and working conditions.
CBS is owned by Viacom, another huge media conglomerate that owns, among other entities, MTV, Showtime, Nickelodeon, VH1, TNN, CMT, 39 broadcast television stations, 184 radio stations, Paramount Pictures and Blockbuster Inc.
Hey PH do you know if Newsweek is owned by time warner?
what do you think about MTVs latest censorship?

The rock band Nine Inch Nails said on Friday it canceled plans to appear on next week's MTV Movie Awards after the network questioned the band's plans to perform in front of an image of President Bush.
"We were set to perform 'The Hand That Feeds' with an unmolested, straightforward image of George W. Bush as the backdrop. Apparently, the image of our president is as offensive to MTV as it is to me," Nine Inch Nails' leader Trent Reznor said in a statement posted on the band's Web site. MTV said in a statement: "While we respect Nine Inch Nails' point of view, we were uncomfortable with their performance being built around a partisan political statement. When we discussed our discomfort with the band, their choice was to unfortunately pull out of the Movie Awards."

that was a cute satire on newsweek, I want to know who is running them...
Yea we'll wheather U.S. should be in Iraq or not, It is kind of worthless debat anyway, cause our troops are there, and I don't think it's going to good over there, given solders have been getting killed by suicide bombers. I mean We could at least win and stabilize the country since we aready fucked around there. Do you really want Al-Aqueda to win? Fuck that man. Bullshit man. All that propaganda on newsweek and that desecration of the Koran, is bullshit. Who gives a fuck if they flushed a Koran down the toilet. If those people got that violent and even killed a few people over someone disgracing their religion they are the real heathens. It was offensive but to get that crazy about is not worth it, they can't act responsibly when someone insults them. In fact I think I'm going to burn a Koran right now.
Like In Afganistan. They have their women work in fields like mules, their worse than when African Americans were picking cotton in plantations down south. Or Iran women can't do anything they have no rights. And you what they still don't like us.
