legal?

Hello all, I know most of u will probably think this is a stupid question, but here goes. Me and my girlfriend are moving to Canada very soon and I know now u can get a script of weed from a doctor, but do they now have "coffeeshops"? I've been to Amsterdam several times and damn it is a magnificent place, I was just wondering if Canada is anything like it? Also if there aren't any "coffeeshops" how would I go about getting a script from the good doc.?

I am ill, but i'm not sure if my problems would be solved with marijuana. I was in a bad car accident 1 yr. ago I had seven broke ribs,2collapsed lungs, a broken shoulder in 2 places, a broken hip in 2 places, and a compound fractured wrist. Also because of the broken hip 1 of my legs is just a bit longer than the other causing scoliosis(a crooked spinal cord) it is very painful and I don't like taking prescription drugs, because they are too strong, but I love to smoke green, so does anyone think these medical conditions would make me a good candidate for medical weed?
