should i go to hyvee(open 24/7) and purchase another bottle? that was a really good trip.... im just wondering if doing it again when your coming down is bad for you, or cheapens the trip or something

Go easy on that stuff. There is significant evidence that chronic, heavy DXM use can lead to liver damage. I'd wait a few days before doing it again.

seriously tho, yeah, im gonna wait a little while. i graduate high school on thursday(holy shit!), so maybe i'll ultra-trip then. one way or another i'll get fucked up.

but goddamn, i havent even thought about that. i graduate on thursday! its crazy!

I will not believe that dextromethorphan, even in frequent heavy doses is hepatoxic until I see evidence in medical literature.
Coricidin cough and cold is another story because it contains another active ingredient that is metabolized by the same liver enzyme and your body has a harder time metabolizing both these drugs in high doses at once.

The nature of cough syrup with all the glucose and thickening agents probably doesn't treat your kidneys too well.
Still what is most dangerous about frequent high doses of dextromethorphan (redosing included) is that it will eventually lead you into a psychosis that could linger for months after your last use.

i took zicam, which is a cough spray, not a syrup, so its the consistency of water. that should be easier on my digestive system. i'll check the ingredients.

but damn, zicam tastes SO fucking bad...

According to this, dextromethorphan HBr is the only active. But if the taste is an issue, get gelcaps. There are several brands which only contian DXM as the active. Check the labels before you buy.
