black or white pots????

i heard somewhere that black pots keep heat trapped in and will burn up the roots, while white pots will allow heat to escape......however, i also heard that white pots let light to the roots and roots dont like light....i am growing indoors with fluoros right now in white pots,,,,is this ok or should i go to black pots?????

I've been told to get pots and wrap alluminum foil around them (and I did) to stop the light. I've never heard anything about heat.
