lights I found
So I went to Lows and found the large floresent grow lights. but they are too big for the space I have. I looked more and found the "bulb" style grow lights.
They come in 50,60, & 65 watts. I was going to use one of thoes clamp on work lights.
My set up so far is this:
Tall cardboard box, lined with one of thoes insulatino (foil looking) camping blanet things. I have a large 2' square hole cut in the front and a small fan to move the air.
So, would the light set up work? Should I use more then one light?
Thanks for the help.

If it isn't a flourescent, HPS, or MH, then from what I know, it won't work. Check to see if its actually a CFL (compact flourescent light) and the 50, 60, & 65 watts is actually the stated watt usage. CFL's have low watt usage but put out a lot more light. My 42W bulbs each put out 150W (2600 Lumens) and I have 2 of those over my babies right now. Goodluck.

Dude you definately want to go with what Da1 said. You want to find the lights with the highest light output(lumens) and the least amount of heat output, which are usually CFL's(weird looking lights look kinda like mini-flourecent bulb). I would reccomend something like a 250w HPS or metal halide, but it doesnt sound like ur ready for that yet.
For your box growroom i would suggest having one or two(as many as u can fit) CFL's hanging over the top, and in all four corners of the box, u could mount regular 24 inch flourecant-lights in order to get the plants nice and bushy with light coming form all sides. Hope this info helped, Good luck.
