Maybe going to Amsterdam, need advice

My wife is going to Antwerp on business in August. The hotel will be paid for by her company and I can get a free plane ticket with some of my Pop's frequent flyer miles so I was thinking of tagging along. What I'm wondering is how long is it from Antwerp to Amsterdam? I'm hoping I can basically commute back and forth and hang out in Amsterdam while she's working. Also, what's it like going from Netherlands into Belgium? Could I just go the Amsterdam one day and stock up or would I get busted at the border? Any other advice?

I would reccomend not trying to smuggle any drugs (.1) grams of pot over ANY borders. You'll shit'll be thrown around so fast you won't know what happened.
