light cylce?!

so im new in the growing, and ive been skimmin across threads and im wondering, when i should slowly decrese my light distribution from 24 hrs/day to 18/6 and to finally 12/12...whats the difference between them?.....what effects does it give off..


for some insight in what im trying to say... i have a approx. 2 1/2 plant with small 4 leaves on the top. ive had it for 6 days now. Ive been having them for 12/12 for the first 4 days, and when reading through threads i decided to switch the lights to 18/6 for the last 2 days. Do you guyz have any tips on what i shuold set my life cycle?.

ps. one quick question, whats first vegging or flowering? and whatever is 2nd, is there a 3d? haha

leave your lights on for 24 hrs a day 7 days a week till they are 12 inches tall. once they are twelve inches tall turn the lights to eighteen six. after forty five days of combined twenty four / seven and eighteen / six turn the lights to thirteen / eleven and after about fifteen days on thirteen / eleven your girls, if they are girls, should look like somthing like the pics. this is how i did these, other people have other ways. find yours :D :D :D
