So, does anyone know if Darvs can get you messed up? I have 100 - 650s. I'm not too worried about the acetaminophen in them because I've worked up a serious tolerance to them, having to take nearly 8 Tylenol to relieve the pain in my hand, which was shattered when I hit a locker.
Anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone knows if they can get you messed up, and which way should I take them? Would snorting them do anything, or if that's a NO NO because of the acetaminophen.
Any help appreciated!!
Darvocet is a weak narcotic, they'll get you high, but you'll have to take quite a few. You wouldn't want to snort them, you would have several grams of acetaminophen stuck in your nose. Grind them up, dissolve in cold water, let the acetaminophen settle out, drink the water (will probably taste like shit) I don't think there is such a thing as tolerance to acetaminophen toxicity, high doses should be avoided.
I found what I *think* were darvocets (propoxyphene) in my medicine cabinet from when my dad broke his arm in 1996. This makes these pills nearly 10 years old. The first time I tried them I didn't know about the acedominiphin problem and just took 8 pills without attempting an extraction. That got me pretty happy. The last two times though I attempted an extraction and it failed for some reason -- I don't know why. I know I did a good job and did it right both times, but after drinking the solution I didn't feel a thing.
Well, if the pills were 10 years old, they were probably bad. Crush up the pill and if it goes everywhere, then it's good. If it just sorta.....mushes, than it's bad.
Anyway, thanks Andrue. I took 2 of them just to follow the instructions for pain, and I waited about 30 minutes. I wasn't expecting anything, just to get rid of the pain. But, I realized they started making me more.....talkative. And things were echoing more, I was more laid back and relaxed, and I was getting hot, fast.
So, I took another to screw me up. For the next 2 1/2 to 3 hours, I was like that.
They work for me, I just heard that it can really make your tolerance go up QUICK because they stay on your MU receptors for so long.
i usually would take about 5 darvocets, drink something with some caffeine, it seems to increase the absorption...chew em up...i actually used to take excedrin migraine with it if i didn't have but 2 or 3...the caffeine in it helps, but be careful with acetaminophen doses, it won't really hurt you immediately unless you like down a whole bottle...but it can cause long-term liver damage...darvocets can take 2 hours or more to start working...i took them in high school one morning and they didn't hit me until after school that day...so it can take a while...
