new and trying to learn

Hello, because of a new diagnosis i have started growing my own. Never grow before but i thought i would give it a try. This is also a question got my seeds from a good source, feminised here is question autoflowering( have no idea what autoflowering means. From what i have learned if a plant flowers pull it because it is a male). Built a hydro system got ppm,ph,meter nutrients i was off.
Every mistake i could make i have made. Inspite of my incompatence my plants are doing well. Ok so they are only 4 weeks old, i stunted them both twice but still they lived. Lol. I have them on a 20 hour light schedule not sure if this is right or not. Also planted 3 plants in woods that are growing like crazy. However i mayhave to let these go if an eagle is nest close to them. Darn it. But i know more this weekend when i can get out and look at nest size.
I was wondering what the yeild might be with hydro system? I hear its less then half the yeild of soil grown plants.
I am having fun growing and i most have superman plants lol.
