European Union to Outlaw Growing Any Seed Not on the Official Registry

It's one thing to try to patent a new commercial seed & sue farmers who use this year's crop to sow next year's fields, but this takes that idea to an insane level.

Basically, they're saying that if a seed (any seed, not just cannabis seeds) isn't on the approved list, you're a criminal for growing it.
Of course, you have to pay to get your seed on the registry & it's dominated by big commercial growers - another story of big government hopping in bed with big business?
