1st timer, multiple questions to come lol
Ok so I finally found out how to make a thread, here we go... So I'm going to start in a couple of weeks and I need help. I'm going to germinate in paper towel, transfer to rockwool, then once sprouted I will put it in a container until its big enough to put into a 5 gallon bucket. But it will be an outdoor plant. And thanks for any advice!
First off, what are the differences in nutrient needs for indica and sativa? I will be growing both, but separate.
Secondly, how long does it take to hit the vegetative growth stage and the flowering stage? I know it's prolly depending on what strain, but about how long do you guys think? And what should I look for? Pistils should be showing about a week or two after flowering starts.
And lastly, nutrients. I will use these just as needed though. But I need advice on what to use. I don't have money so I just have to use what I have. Sorry, idk how to post pictures haha.

Start with reading all the "sticky's" here you can.

Very little difference in the nutrient needs, although reading the plants and watering/feeding times may be slightly different. Local conditions will dictate what these will be for in your area. They will veg until the sun starts getting lower in the south (assuming you are in the northern hemisphere) and the daylight/nighttime ratio is about 50/50 or 12 hours of light and 12 of darkness, and they flower off how much dark they get. Strains have little to do with it, unless you have an auto-flowering type. Yes, flowers will begin to appear a few weeks after they begin to flower and they get done when the trichomes are all cloudy to partial amber when viewed under magnification of some kind. This can vary greatly from strain to strain as do yields.
Hope this helps, but you will do well to read everything you can here about outdoor growing and then just dive in! No teacher like experience!

Thank you! The stickies are already helping. But I will still post information/questions on here.
It always amazes me that all smokers have the same thing in common. Their kindness and willingness to help. Lol. Thanks again.
