My Testing Strategy - Please Advise!

[align=left]First off, let me start this thread off with a little bit of a rant... I don't do drugs... I smoke pot recreationally and responsibly. I never EVER smoke before work. My line of work requires skills and intelligence, and I cannot come to work impaired. Compare it to drinking a pint of scotch before you show up for a job that requires you to operate heavy machinery and you will understand why I am so strict and disciplined about this. I personally don't see any harm in marijuana if one can be mature and responsible about their use. I also believe that we will see legalization (and heavy taxation) within our lifetimes.


I think it's a joke that hard working taxpaying citizens are tested for pot, meanwhile welfare recipients are not drug tested nor are they monitored for what they spend our tax dollars on (hey, that's a nice Cadillac you got there buddy!)... So there's my rant... I apologize if this offends anyone.


I have recently accepted a new job offer and I have been on the job for 2 weeks now. I was a bit of a shoe-in (keep your jokes to yourself), as my boss is a long-time friend and former colleague who brought be onboard. As much of a sure-bet as this may seem, this is still corporate America, and he is not at the very top of the pyramid.


I was informed by HR that I will need to report to Quest Labs to take a urinalysis test. I asked about a deadline for this and she casually mentioned within a few weeks (score!)... Since I heard about this test, I have not smoked at all. I am on my forth day so far. I am 29 years old, 5'11" and about 175 lbs... I am somewhat lean, but certainly no Bruce Lee.... I have a fast metabolism, and I typically ingest a lot of protein. I also smoke a pack of cigarettes a day (nasty habit). Since I quit pot, I have been running 2 miles a day on a treadmill and I've been sweating like a hooker in church. I've also been drinking lots of water (which I know is not required at this point). Prior to quitting I have been an everyday smoker for the last year of high quality bud. I don't smoke much (maybe 2-3 bowls or 1-2 small Js per day). I quit smoking for a few months about a year ago, but I fell off the wagon and started again.



Here is my strategy to pass this test... let me know what you think:


1. Get at least 1 week of "Clean" time, and continue with exercise and water regimen.
2. After at least 1 week of "Clean" time, schedule the test for 2 days out... Discontinue working out and start taking oral creatine. Continue to digest a high-protein diet.
3. The morning of the test FLUSH with gallons of gatorade and piss like a racehorse up until I take the test. Take an OTC drug test beforehand and after the test for peace of mind.
4. Continue to stay clean for a week after my test if I don't hear anything from HR (no news is good news).


I'm hoping that the gatorade will take care of color and gravity while the creatine and protein keeps my creatine levels within the norm... Do any of you see any flaws in this logic? Any intelligent feedback is welcome...
