Best 5 Gallon buckets/pots to grow in?
What what inexpensive 5 gallon buckets/pots are you all growing in? I've seen one person say that they drill holes into the bottom of one 5 gal bucket (for drainage) and then place that bucket into another 5 gal bucket to catch the runoff. Is this the norm? What's the best most inexpensive way for me to pot 20 plants in 5 gal buckets?

Difference between the cheapest and the best. I use the cheapest, 3 gallon plastic grow bags at about $0.35 each. I've reused some bags 3-4 times, they're rugged enough. They have plastic 5 gallon bags for about $.045. I'm running a 5 Gallon Smart Pot side by side with a 5 gallon drywall pail. Just about done, stay tuned...
The most recent pot fashion is the rooters style pot, plastic with wavy sides with slits in them to keep the roots trimmed.

Commercial containers like the ones used for nursery plants work great.. typically somewhere between $1.50 for a #1 (1 gallon) up to maybe $5.00 for a #7.. I've used them over and over for a few years now and doubt I'll have to replace them anytime soon. Investing in heavier drain pans is good too.. I use them for lots of things.. particularly trimming and organizing things in the grow room.

I use the silver ones you can get at the hardware store. Mine are from lowes, $2.58 each

There is no way to grow 20 plants cheaply. You best have a big space 8'x10' feet minimum.

I use 3 gallon poly grow bags in my greenhouse, and they would be great for MMJ. However; You would need a troth or individual catch pans for the over flow.

When I 1st started; I used 1 gallon until a couple weeks before flower, then repotted to 5 gallon pots. I used the typical garden pots from Wally's @ about 3 bucks a piece. I used the pots with a built in reservoir or drip pan. They worked great.
You might conisder less plants to start with. Good Luck
