Photo Period Using 90 Watt LED on OG Skunk and No Flowers but Something Else-See PIC
Attachment 289520
I have harvested 3 auto flowering plants at 75 days from the same bucket as this OG Skunk. I just started the photo period of 6 hrs of darkness/day about two wks ago. I'm not seeing any flowering yet, just the tendrils in certain locations. Temps fluctuate greatly but never below 45 or above 80 degrees. I'm using a 90 watt LED. Will this plant be able to flower?

I guess I'll look for answers elsewhere.

autos flower when they reach a certain age from what i understand. try switching it to 12/12 to see if that gets it going.

and the pic is a bit fuzzy but it looks like you are referring to the stipules(think thats the term) little blade shaped structures, those unfortunately wont tell you much although i have read that male vs female are shaped a little differently on different strains but i dunno for sure.

Well Mal...I yanked the OG Skunk out and trashed it. it was obvious it wasn't going to flower after going to 12/12 as it began to die from the bottom up. So, my first attempt at growing a plant requiring a photo period was a failure.

mmm failure or just part of the education process. ive had 30 odd plants die since november. its frustrating but it motivates me to keep at it till i figure it out and ultimately succeed. youll get it youll see.

I wonder if the AeroGarden would be better for experimenting with photo period varieties. Maybe just find a nice spot outdoors and plant some seeds and hope they're not found, mowed or stolen.

I've never understood why so many people are into autos, but the best photo period for autos is 18 on and 6 off... I forget where I got that, but I thought it was a reliable source or I wouldn't have used the info. I only grew one auto, along with my others, and it went into 12/12 along with the others so I don't know what it would have yielded if I'd kept it in 18/6, but it yielded very crappy compared to my regular feminized plants so I sure ain't growin' any more of 'em.

Well....like we said...we're throwing plants away as we can't get them to flower for one reason or another. It's tuff enuff to grow in the winter with fluctuating temps and using LED... 90 watt at that. This was my first time. The auto's at least gave me something.

Yeah, man, those growths are stipules. Sorry. I have grown many autos under 90W UFO's. So that's not it I don't think.
