On Saturday, January 19 not only can you meet them, you can get your picture taken with Prop. 215 author and firebrand Denis Peron and Prop. 215 TV spokesperson Anna Boyce as well as counter-cultural icon Paul Krassner and Judge James Gray, 2012 Libertarian Party vice-presidential candidate. Suitable for framing and mounting, your picture with these icons will make you the envy of all your friends, family members, neighbors and co-workers, so be sure and bring your camera.

Without the pioneering efforts of Denis and Anna, it is unlikely that California would have had a medical marijuana law which means the 18 other states that now have medical marijuana laws would most likely not have them either. [align=center][/align]
You can meet and hear these icons and so much more this Saturday, January 19 at the 5th Anniversary of Presto Quality Care (formerly THCF Medical Clinic) where they will be celebrating with an afternoon seminar, a preview screening of the new marijuana film The Green Goddess and an Honorary Dinner at 6 p.m. The events will take place at the offices of Presto Quality Care at 647 Main St., Riverside 92501.
Headlining the event will be medical marijuana icons Denis Peron, the father of Californiaâ??s ground-breaking medical marijuana initiative Prop. 215 and Anna Boyce, RN whose appearances in multiple TV commercials aired throughout the state made her the person I believe was most responsible for convincing California voters to support Prop. 215.
Along with Mr. Peron and Ms. Boyce, there will be other speakers at the afternoon seminar including SueAnn Young, chairperson of the Riverside County Democratic Central Committee, Paul Stanford, founder of the parent organization of Presto Quality Care and sponsor of the Oregon Cannabis Tax Act, the Oregon legalization initiative that didnâ??t quite make it but did receive a very respectful 46.5% of the vote, collective attorney Jason Thompson, San Bernardino Co. Sheriff candidate Paul Schrader and myself, Lanny Swerdlow, RN, long time Inland Empire medical marijuana and law reform activist.
In the evening the Brownie Mary Democratic Club will be sponsoring an Honorary Dinner for medical marijuana icons Denis Peron, Anna Boyce and Paul Stanford. Keynote speakers are retired Superior Court Judge James Gray and Paul Krassner, famed 60â??s countercultural satirist and author of Pot Stories for the Soul. Mr. Peron, Ms. Boyce and Mr. Stanford will be presented with lifetime achievement awards from very grateful patients. Judge Gray will make an informed presentation on the legal and political realities of today and Mr. Krassner will provide his famed classic satirical outlook on past and current political and social issues.
Your chance to see a preview screening of the new highly anticipated marijuana movie, The Green Goddess, is another highlight of the 5th Anniversary celebration. Several scenes were filmed at the THCF Medical Clinic in Riverside just before the clinic opened in 2008. I am in the movie but have no speaking parts as they only wanted me for my devastatingly good looks. This is your chance to see the film FREE before it is released in theaters where you will have to pay to see it.

The Green Goddess is a comedy adventure feature film. Four Americans grow marijuana in Northern California when the DEA shows up. One is caught, and the others flee to Switzerland and grow six football fields worth of marijuana to raise money and get their friend out of jail. Having just enough money for one planting season, the heroes rent an old Swiss farm. Their adventures take them across Europe: to a music festival in Germany, a medical marijuana clinic in London and the coffee shops of Amsterdam. And all the while, the Green Goddess - the divine feminine spirit that lives within the THC crystal and brought to life via an astonishing series of special effects - watches over them, choosing one lucky individual to meet her.
The filmâ??s producer and director will be present to answer questions and will be handing out comment cards for your input to help them perfect the film before it is released.
There is no charge for admission to the afternoon seminar which will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. or for the preview screening of the Green Goddess immediately following the seminar at 4 p.m.
The Honorary Dinner for Denis Peron and Anna Boyce begins at 6 p.m. Cost for tickets to the dinner are $20 for advance tickets and $25 day of the event. Larry always produces good quality buds and you donâ??t get no piddling amount at the free distribution - you will receive at least a quarter of an ounce of bud or more. This is marijuana in the raw â?? the bud comes on the branch it grew on so you have to get out the scissors to trim it, but how can you beat FREE.

[HR] [align=center] [/align] I am very excited to report that I was elected to be a delegate representing the 42nd State Assembly District at the California Democratic Party Convention this year. Of course I will also be representing mmj patients, marijuana legalization advocates and End the Drug War realists. Being a delegate at the convention provides me an unsurpassed opportunity to network with other delegates to make sure these issues are addressed and included in the California Democratic Party Platform and will be brought to the attention of elected Democratic Party officials.
I would like to thank all of you who took the time to come out to Palm Desert on Saturday to support and vote for my candidacy. I can assure you that our large turnout and that I received more votes than any of the other candidates running for the six positions open for male delegates will be noticed.

Proclaiming his intention of being his own attorney and using jury nullification as a defense, many thought his days as a free person were numbered.
