hempy bucket flood table?

ok, I know modifing a hempy bucket is gona get me struck by lightning or something. I have been runing hempys for years with great sucess. however my last grow became a pain in the ass. crawling around on my hands and knees hand watering 60 hempys every other day. so check this out, If I took a 4x8 tray, packed it with regular pots(not hempys) or even smart pots, filled with hempy medium(perlite vermiculite), then just fill the tray with 2" of nutes. I understand I would probably have to hand water for a while until the roots hit the res. would this work?
